Known as "The Evangelist of Old Time Religion and of the Gospel of Healing", the ministry of Raymond T. Richey is credited with the salvation of hundreds of thousands of people, and the miraculous healing of thousands more. He was born on September 4, 1893 on a farm near Atwood, Illinois, and was raised in a Christian family.

The entire text of a biography of his early life, written by his wife Eloise Richey, is included in these pages. It includes the account of his own miraculous healing and conversion, many accounts of his early healing and evangelistic meetings, and many letters by those who claimed to have been healed in his meetings.

The biography, titled "What God Hath Wrought in the Life of Raymond T. Richey", recounts events only through about 1925. His ministry continued through World War II, and into the 1950's. He died in 1968. We have found no book that includes those later years, although a variety of articles in various publications do exist.

One of many "healing evangelists" of that era, Rev. Richey's ministry had a great impact on America, during the first half of the 1900's. Once, when he was asked "What is faith?" he replied, "Faith is just acting on God's Word."

Many historical documents exist about the ministry of the Evangelist with a notable healing ministry. A few are included in these pages.

The Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center (the Assemblies of God archives) in Springfield, Missouri, contains many more documents.
