In many orphanages, the staff is overworked, the facility is overcrowded,
and the orphanage is low on finances. The orphanages are usually run by
local people with local kids. Unless you speak and understand the local
language, are willing to eat a simple and meager diet and sleep in crowded
conditions, you might not be the best candidate to "help" at these orphanages.
Usually you must provide your own finances and your own transportation.
Be sure to develop a clear understanding of expectations before you agree
to assist in an international orphanage.

We care for and educate blind orphans, ranging in age from
infants to young adults. We need a volunteer nurse or other

Bethesda International (Uganda)
Many children have lost either both or one of their parents to Aids. All these have resulted
in the daily increase of orphans and under privileged children in the streets. We have cared for more
than 100 children, seeing their education facilitated and their basic needs met.

Established in response to the Government's plea to care for the orphans. We can use your help, long or

Bolivian Children's Mission (Cochabamba, Bolivia)
A home for almost 40 orphans, abandoned and high risk children. Street dwellers, glue sniffers, children with

Breath of Heaven Children's Ministries (Lusaka, Zambia)
Zambia is one of the poorest and least developed nations on earth. Some estimate the number of
orphans has surpassed a million: 130,000 live in the
streets of Lusaka, the highest per capita number of street children in the world.

de Saint-Michel de L'attalaye Bresma Orphanage and School (Port au Prince, Haiti)
"Brebis" for short, this is an orphange designed to care for about 30 children.
Volunteers are very welcome, and they coordinate with a group called Answered Prayers who sponsors the
orphange. Many skills are needed and useful. Mission trips are usually every three months or so.
Brothers Charities Children's Home (Mallappally, Kerala, India)
This children's home currently operates in an old house, and we're planning to build
a new facility soon. There is a great need for ministry to orphans to
provide food, shelter, dress, education and all other needs. Teachers, missionaries who
like to develop native missions are welcomed to inquire about helping us.
Buckner Orphan Care International (Based in Dallas, TX)
Buckner connects caring Christians with orphan and at-risk children for short-term missions in

Bui Chu St. An's Orphanage (Vietnam)
Originally the Angelic House, this orphanage cares for and nourishes over 60 orphaned and
handicapped children in the centre, supporting them also so they can attend schools. Also provides training
and assistance to help the community care for several hundred more orphaned and handicapped children.
Bukaleba Childrens Center (Bukaleba, Uganda)
1500 acres of beautiful land waiting to host orphans from across the country of Uganda.
Volunteers with any abilities are welcome. We believe this experience is as helpful to the volunteer as it is to Uganda.

Many lovely Russian toddlers are facing starvation and a lack of essential medical
care. In response to this need, the families have begun a relief effort.

Accomodates 30 girls and 30 boys orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Half of the children are infected with
