His Hands On Africa

Providing free oral healthcare services in Rwanda since 2016, His Hands On Africa opened our first Compassion Community Dental Clinic (CCDC) in Rwanda in 2020. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, we offer patients a level of care and expertise rarely available in Rwanda. Most patients live in rural villages with limited access to dental care due to distance and limited financial resources.

Our satellite clinics are located within Health Centers operated by the Rwanda Ministry of Health in remote villages. This partnership gives access to dental care to nearly 100,000 people in the community, greatly reducing serious health complications.

We serve hundreds of people through our mobile clinics. Our dental staff travels with dental equipment into remote communities. Rwandans living in these villages typically travel over 10 miles for medical or dental intervention by walking, biking, or taking a bus; a journey difficult for children, nursing mothers, the elderly, and disabled. We also serve at community outreaches sharing the hope and healing of Jesus.

Our Mission

Training and empowering Christian dental professionals to create sustainability through gospel impact and excellent care.

Our Values

His Hands On Africa (HHOA) believes in equipping communities to achieve sustainability with dignity. To address the lack of dental services, HHOA has identified an approach that is based on fostering relationships with local communities and partnering with Rwandan citizens to invest in their future.

What We Do

Our founder, Dr. Thomas Lee (who lives in Rwanda with his wife Lita) and his local staff provide free dental services to people with little, or no, access to dental care.

Dr. Lee trains and mentors Rwandan dentists to enhance their skills.

His Hands On Africa builds water wells to provide access to clean water.

His Hands On Africa evangelizes the Gospel of Jesus.
