YWAM Mission Builders International

Mission Builders International (MBI) is the volunteer placement arm of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). We serve YWAM ministries worldwide by sending practical, hands-on help. MBI connects Christian volunteers like you with YWAM missionaries working to provide health, education, and economic opportunities for people in need. Whatever your skills or calling, MBI can assist in coordinating a short-term mission trip to get you where you’re needed most. You could be the answer to someone’s prayers today!

Our History

YWAM Mission Builders began in 1978 at YWAM Kona, Hawaii by recruiting volunteers to help plan and eventually build out the campus. Following in the foot steps of professional engineers and construction teams, mission builder volunteers now provide help in every area of practical service as YWAM has grown internationally with more than 1200 operating locations in 185 nations today. From high school graduates to retirees – practically every age of volunteer is welcome to serve alongside YWAM missionaries.

Our Mission

MBI mobilizes volunteers to provide ministry and facility development services to Christian ministries around the world that promote health, education and economic opportunities for helping hurting people.

Our Values

At its core, MBI loves God by loving people and honoring them with timely, care-filled communication; providing a model of a healthy work ethic and team building through servant-style leadership. We value personal discipline and development by honoring Jesus by doing our best by doing whatever it takes to get the job done. We value supporting the vision of others – so that others will succeed.

What We Do

MBI connects Christians to frontline missions worldwide. We are a bridge or gateway to opportunities for volunteer service in 185 nations. We ask three things: 1. What’s that in your hand – what do you do? 2. Where in the world is God stirring your heart to serve? 3. When can you go? Let’s help you get there!
