Child & Family Outreach Coordinator

Bold Hope is seeking a Child & Family Outreach Coordinator (CFOC) for the Dominican Republic. The CFOC works closely with the Hispaniola Director and the team in the Dominican Republic to develop relationships with children and families in our sponsorship program in order to better serve them. As one of the first points of contact for the community, the CFOC should be welcoming, detail-oriented, and consistent. Primary Responsibilities: Learn Spanish Support DR missionaries and staff Assist the Director of Hispaniola in overseeing the child sponsorship program * Develop relationships with children and families * Keep accurate records of children in the program; provide regular updates to sponsors * Provide updated information/photos to Bold Hope for their database * Assess community needs * Develop programs and initiatives to best serve children and families Develop relationships with local pastors and churches, in part to ensure community needs are being met *Explore programs churches already have in place * Develop strategies for supporting / supplementing their efforts * Enlist church involvement in community outreach / community development initiatives * Pray for and encourage local pastors * Connect believers to churches in the area Coordinate all DR aspects of mission trips * Manage ministry calendar and schedule teams for available weeks * Hire translators as needed * Schedule airport runs * Purchase supplies * Work with missionaries/local ministry partners to plan meaningful service projects for teams Act as host to U.S. teams * Attend pre-trip team trainings virtually * Lead team meetings * Ensure everyone is participating in service opportunities * Schedule & lead fun day opportunities * Keep everyone on schedule Pay & Benefits: We offer a $500 monthly stipend that helps cover the expenses of working with us. We allow for staff to raise support if they have larger financial needs. We do not offer any benefits at this time. Qualifications: * A bachelor’s or associate’s degree * Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude * Strong organizational skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Word) a must * Ability to work as part of a team * Passion for serving others * Background check and child abuse clearance Interested and qualified candidates please send a cover letter and resume to rachel@boldhope.org

Missionary Kid Teachers

Missionary Kid Teachers

Several of our missionary families need a teacher to assist in their homeschooling efforts. Teachers with
the ability to teach elementary and/or high school grades are needed. Missionary kid teachers will

  • Teach specific subjects to children using curriculum provided by the family.
  • When requested lead group activities such as PE or Art for a group of staff children.
  • Where learners are struggling, creatively find ways to help them learn and understand.
  • Be a part of the general staff team attending monthly staff meetings, weekly staff fellowships, and monthly foreign team meetings.
  • Be a caring adult to the missionary children and the children in the New Hope community.
