As a Student Mobilizer your job will be to meet young adults who are interested in global missions and help them determine their best next steps towards active engagement with the Great Commission. You will cast the vision of Cafe 1040 to a variety of communities and individuals while promoting our overseas mentorship and encouraging students who are a good fit to apply. You will build long-term relationships with these students, functioning as a missions coach to help them grow in their understanding and engagement in missions.

You will spend significant time networking and building relationships with various campus ministries, churches, and Missions Influencers, mostly focusing on your specific region. Additionally, you will attend mission conferences to meet missions-minded people and represent our ministry to a wider population. You will be expected to travel 10-25% of your time, depending on your region. You will also serve as the main point of contact for students who inquire about our program through our website or referrals. Essentially, you will function as a “missions coach” for students exploring next steps toward what God is calling them to do.

Cafe 1040 is a community that believes the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most significant event in the history of the world. But over 3 billion people have little to no access to this gospel. That’s 42% of the entire world’s population.

This reality fuels our mission to empower the next generation of missionaries to tell the story of Jesus in places it is not yet told.

We believe that God has been working throughout history to gather worshippers from all nations. Because of that, we take seriously the opportunity to be part of the Church’s Commission to make disciples of every people group.

We know that one day there will be worshippers of Jesus from every tribe, tongue, and nation. Until that day comes, we are committed to mobilizing the next generation of missionaries to the least reached peoples of the world.

All of our stateside roles are virtual so any location is fine and they are all support-based.  For more information visit: Cafe 1040 Careers.

Your primary job is to mentor students stateside before and after they go through our 3-month overseas program. Your job is to develop, encourage, and teach these students as they explore their role within the Great Commission. You will help the participants identify and overcome obstacles, coach them through support raising, and provide knowledge that will ready them for our overseas program.

Upon the participant’s return to the US, you will help them debrief and process their experience, develop a five-year plan for missions involvement, and identify practical next steps toward engagement with the Great Commission. When appropriate, you will facilitate a connection between the participant and long-term sending agencies. In addition to individual mentoring with each student, you will host conference calls, interview potential students, conduct support trainings, and develop relationships with sending partners.
