Your job will be to serve as the leader and mentor of 4 to 5 students in a closed country who are considering long-term work among the unreached.  You will mentor the students assigned to you in a group and one-on-one basis as they live life among the unreached.  This will be done during weekly, one-on-one mentoring times while the students undergo intense training and cross cultural exposure.

You will teach and refine our curriculum in group settings.  Additionally, you will shepherd and lead these students by example through varying geographic, topographic, and cultural environments during the 3 months of training.  This includes leading students through adventures to encounter different peoples, to meet long-term missionaries, and to participate in various training opportunities.

You will prepare students spiritually, mentally, relationally, and physically for Christian service, allowing them to find the answers they seek about their future career. This is a support based position.

Your primary job is to mentor students stateside before and after they go through our 3-month overseas program. Your job is to develop, encourage, and teach these students as they explore their role within the Great Commission. You will help the participants identify and overcome obstacles, coach them through support raising, and provide knowledge that will ready them for our overseas program.

Upon the participant’s return to the US, you will help them debrief and process their experience, develop a five-year plan for missions involvement, and identify practical next steps toward engagement with the Great Commission. When appropriate, you will facilitate a connection between the participant and long-term sending agencies. In addition to individual mentoring with each student, you will host conference calls, interview potential students, conduct support trainings, and develop relationships with sending partners.

Cafe 1040 is a community that believes the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most significant event in the history of the world. But over 3 billion people have little to no access to this gospel. That’s 42% of the entire world’s population.

This reality fuels our mission to empower the next generation of missionaries to tell the story of Jesus in places it is not yet told.

We believe that God has been working throughout history to gather worshippers from all nations. Because of that, we take seriously the opportunity to be part of the Church’s Commission to make disciples of every people group.

We know that one day there will be worshippers of Jesus from every tribe, tongue, and nation. Until that day comes, we are committed to mobilizing the next generation of missionaries to the least reached peoples of the world.

All of our stateside roles are virtual so any location is fine and they are all support-based.  For more information visit: Cafe 1040 Careers.
