Bold Hope is seeking a Trip Coordinator (TC) for the Dominican Republic. The TC works closely with the Hispaniola Director, the U.S. Trip Coordinator and team in the Dominican Republic to facilitate all aspects of Bold Hope’s mission trips to the DR. As the first point of contact for trip participants, the Trip Coordinator should be welcoming, flexible, and detail-oriented. Primary Responsibilities: Learn Spanish Support DR missionaries and staff when in the Dominican Republic Coordinate all DR aspects of mission trips * Manage ministry calendar and schedule teams for available weeks * Hire translators as needed * Schedule airport runs * Purchase supplies * Work with missionaries/local ministry partners to plan meaningful service projects for teams Act as host to U.S. teams * Attend pre-trip team trainings virtually * Lead team meetings * Ensure everyone is participating in service opportunities * Schedule & lead fun day opportunities * Keep everyone on schedule Develop relationships with local pastors and churches *Explore programs churches already have in place * Develop strategies for supporting / supplementing their efforts * Enlist church involvement in community outreach / community development initiatives * Pray for and encourage local pastors * Connect believers to churches in the area Assist the Director of Hispaniola in overseeing the child sponsorship program * Develop relationships with children and families * Keep accurate records of children in the program; provide regular updates to sponsors * Provide updated information/photos to Bold Hope for their database * Assess community needs * Develop programs and initiatives to best serve children and families Pay & Benefits: We offer a $500 monthly stipend that helps cover the expenses of working with us. We allow for staff to raise support if they have larger financial needs. We do not offer any benefits at this time. Qualifications: * A bachelor\’s or associate’s degree * Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude * Strong organizational skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Word) and Google Drive/Calendar a must * Ability to work as part of a team * Passion for serving others Interested and qualified candidates please send a cover letter and resume to rachel@boldhope.org
