Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so you would develop a team of partners who provide financially for your full salary and benefits as a part of this role. We do provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!
Role Summary:
Works with the Station Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, properly maintaining antenna systems and other equipment needed to operate a 500 kW Medium Wave (AM) radio station.

Climb and work safely at heights in excess of 400’, in good health, and have experience in safely lifting and moving heavy objects
Responsibilities:
Regularly inspect towers, anchors, Phillystran Guys, painting, re-tensioning, lighting, and repairing/replacing braces in accordance with best engineering and safety practices
Inspect all safety equipment and supplies/tools for each tower job and coordinate advance purchase
Project possible failures, develop risk mitigation plan, and coordinate maintenance on towers
Instruct tower workers in safety and proper execution of the job
Organize and lead work crews for all antenna maintenance
Desirable Qualifications:
Bachelor or Associate’s degree in engineering, or certification in tower erection and maintenance from a recognized institution
Practical experience or knowledge in several of these areas: air conditioning, mechanical, auto/diesel, electrical, painting, roofing, and related areas
Proficiency in English
