In the latest episode of Mission Finder, we explore the profound journey of understanding and fulfilling God’s will as outlined in the Bible. This is part two of this topic, where we examine the other half of the 37 biblical references (we covered the first 20 in the first part) that guide us in aligning our lives with divine purpose.
We begin with Micah 6:8, which highlights three key pillars of living according to God’s will: doing what is right, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. Our host, Don, shares how embracing humility and acknowledging our dependence on God’s mercy can transform our spiritual path.
The discussion then moves to the theme of strength—both physical and spiritual. Philippians 4:13 teaches that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Don, drawing on his experience in both physical fitness and spiritual growth, emphasizes the crucial role of discipline in achieving strength and offers practical advice on cultivating a disciplined life that honors God.
We also examine scriptures like Proverbs 3:5, which urges us to trust in the Lord rather than rely on our own understanding, and 1 John 2:16-17, which warns against worldly desires. These verses reinforce the importance of relying on God’s wisdom and strength.
A powerful moment in the episode is Don’s discussion on the fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23. He encourages listeners to self-assess their spiritual character, identifying strengths and areas for growth. By embodying the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—we naturally align with God’s will.
We also touch on sanctification, the process of becoming more like Christ through the Holy Spirit. Don shares his daily prayer of surrender, a practice that deepens his relationship with God and strengthens his commitment to living out God’s will.
As we conclude, we reflect on the ultimate reward for living in accordance with God’s will: a more abundant life. Matthew 6:33 assures us that if we seek God’s kingdom first, everything else will be added to us—a promise that God’s plans for us are not only good but also fulfilling.
Tune in to be inspired, challenged, and equipped to walk in alignment with His divine purpose.
