There are service opportunities for all skill sets and training is provided for projects when needed. We’ve had team members ranging in ages from 8 to 65. They, and everyone in between, provided unique and valuable skills.
What We Will Do
Live in Light short term missions teams facilitate long term impact in the lives of children and families in our partner communities. While each mission team has different interests and skills, some of our typical projects include hosting vision, dental and sanitation/health/hygiene clinics in rural and inner city slum communities, sports ministry outreach and serving in an orphanage or schools. We’ll also be visiting and praying with patients in a disabled children’s hospital, installing playground equipment, working with women’s empowerment programs and providing business skills training, hosting the Jesus Film rural churches, light construction projects and more. If your team members are interested in a specific type of project that isn’t mentioned, we will be happy to see if it can be included. Most team members stay in Uganda between 7 to 14 nights with a total trip time between 9 – 16 days after you add travel. Each day was written about by a different team members, who ranged in age from 8 to 65, so you get lots of perspectives. Mission trip fees include airport pick up and return in Uganda, mission team ground transportation within Uganda, lovely guest house accommodations, international travel and liability insurance, three meals per day, bottled water and mission project costs. We are also happy to assist you with airplane travel arrangements.
