Dominican Republic Mission Trip – Children, Construction, and Medical Needs

Bold Hope invites you to join us on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic as we serve through the local church and build relationships, learn about the culture, and join ongoing ministries. This service trip offers a unique opportunity to connect on a personal level with the wonderful people of the Dominican Republic. Service opportunities include medical missions, children’s ministry, sports ministry, construction projects, food distribution, home visits, service projects, and outreach efforts. Custom mission trips available.

Where

The Dominican Republic is home to over 10 million people, including many who live in bateyes (settlements around a sugar mill). These bateyes once formed the backbone of the economy and many are settled by Haitian immigrants. Poverty is pervasive in these Dominican bateyes. We invite you to come alongside local ministries to serve in the the cities and/or the bateyes, depending on your desire and week of service. We aim to aid in community development and provide food and water, small business opportunities, child sponsorship, basic medical needs, sports ministry, and children and youth ministries as we share the love of Jesus.

When

We welcome teams throughout the year. We have many needs and our missionary staff, along with our local church partners desire to have teams in spring, summer, and fall to meet the needs of the community.

Skills

Before your trip, we will work together to learn about your group and prepare you to have a significant impact during your missions experience. On your trip, you will be greeted by our friendly staff as you arrive in the Dominican Republic; they will guide you through the week, attending to you as you serve the people of the DR. No skills are needed to serve, but we welcome people with specific skills as well: medical, educational, construction, etc.
