At Global Shore Opportunities we run a campaign that involves birthdays!! The campaign is called “Give Your Birthday” and the goal of it is to raise funds for Education in Guatemala. People simply pledge their birthdays and, in lieu of gifts, ask friends and family to donate towards this cause.
The 100 at a Hundred birthday campaign is open to anyone from anywhere. We have had people from all across Canada partner with us on this campaign and we have a network into the States as well. But why be limited to that? Are you from Europe? Australia? Latin America? Join with us and use your birthday for something that really counts!
The 100 at a Hundred campaign is running for a full year. It began in April 2016 and is operating until March 2017. Help us to finish our campaign strongly!
Were you born? Are you breathing? Do you have air in your lungs? Do you have friends and family that love you? You’re eligible. 🙂
Throw a pool party. Invite friends over for a dinner. Wine and dine on your front porch. Throw a virtual party. The key is simply to communicate to your friends and family that you do NOT want to receive any presents, but rather would like people instead to make a donation to our organization in honour of your big day. The target goal is $100 (easy peasy!) but we have had many birthdays far surpass this. See how much you can raise for the school in Guatemala!
