Skills

Taking a Group International Mission Trip lets you see the world through God’s eyes. You’ll gain a fresh perspective about the work God does in local communities throughout the world and that new view will make you more aware of the different cultures and misperceptions about where you’re serving. With a deeper insight, you’ll return home transformed. Plus, you’ll grow closer to Jesus through acts of service and get to know him more deeply. We’ve partnered with long-term ministries that are rooted in the countries we serve. As you’re reading this, they are passionately serving and loving their neighbors, working to meet physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ name. When we arrive, we come alongside their efforts for long-lasting impact. Types of work vary based on location, no special skills are needed!

What We Will Do

Your service in Cusco will be coordinated through local indigenous churches. Your team could be helping to add space to their existing church buildings, or making minor repairs. Your week will also include relational ministry opportunities such as ministry to the elderly, and Bible school options for local children. Projects vary depending on coordination and on the ground needs of local ministry partners. Bring a heart to serve and learn!

You will be serving alongside a Quechua women named Marcelina Huamán Chavéz. Marcelina is a pastor of an Assembly of God congregation in Tinta, Perú. Her church is located next the main plaza in the center of Tinta. She ministers to many of the pastors and their small congregation located in the high Andean region around Cusco. Our Partner Marcelina and her church in Tinta recently purchased an adjoining property next to their existing building on the Plaza de Armas in Tinta. Your group will work with the congregation to prepare, build and renovate this extra property. You team will also participate in ministry opportunities with families and children in the Tinta community.
