Cyprus – Walking and Ministering where Apostles Tread Before
Labor with RP Missions on this small island in the Mediterranean Sea. The apostle Paul ministered here before you and this nation has a very interesting Christian history, however, today Evangelical Christians make up less than 1% of the population. The need for the gospel is very great! Come and lend a hand!
Larnaca, Cyprus – This team will be serving three evangelical congregations in the heart of Larnaca. In addition to laboring there, the team will have opportunity to do some traveling through the Southern portion of Cyprus.
June-July, 2017. Applicants that are accepted will fly in and out of the Larnaca International Airport.
Well suited team members are those who have a desire to grow in service to Christ and are teachable, willing servants, and who have a passion to see the “lost” reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to see Christian brothers and sisters mentored in the faith. Applicants should be baptized members in good standing in their local church and already demonstrate a history of being active in their church.
What We Will Do
This team will be working with the youth group comprised of men and women from the area churches. Our aim is to invest our time and hearts in teaching and encouraging the youth and in so doing also encourage the adults. The team will plan weekly activities for the youth, practice hospitality, help organize and run vacation Bible schools, and participate in the mid-week and worship services of the host congregation. In addition, the times of touring the island will provide time for getting more acquainted with our brothers and sisters in the faith and grow in our understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Christ’s church in Cyprus.
