PIVOT 2022 – Belgium

PIVOT is a three-month Operation Mobilization discipleship experience in Europe that serves as an “on ramp” for exposure to world missions, the chance to make a difference through practical service, and to be personally discipled. Opportunities to travel to the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg are possible as part of this mentoring program. The goal here is to get experience and learn how your skills and passions can be best used to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached.

Skills

Participants should have a desire to serve others and to experience what God is doing in Belgium and throughout the world! A passion for Christ should drive you to grow deeper in your relationship with Him and be discipled by members of the local OM team.

What We Will Do

Do you want a chance to serve the Lord in an international missions’ hub during this significant time in history? OM in Belgium invites you to join Pivot, our new short-term mission program, which provides an amazing opportunity to be part of Christian missions’ history by volunteering alongside our missionaries as we navigate life through the COVID-19 pandemic. We invite participants who are able to come to Belgium to serve with us for periods of between 2 to 12 months. The main focus will be to grow in your walk with the Lord while helping out practically. Participants will follow a guided self-study Bible program and will be assigned a personal mentor. The program will also include skill development time for them to learn or sharpen a skill. We would ask participants to focus on a skill that will support their service to the Lord in the future as well as one that can be self-taught. Pivot is a program designed for individuals who are self-motivated. A mentor will guide the participant during their time with OM in Belgium, but we expect them to be disciplined to follow their own study program and goals. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus, but not required.
