The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. The Fuller Center works through local partnerships that are formed with communities all over the world, including El Alto, Bolivia! Our leaders in Bolivia are focused on building simple, affordable homes for the many families that are living in shacks. They love hosting groups and welcome everyone to the breathtakingly beautiful city of La Paz and El Alto with open arms and plenty of work to do!
Fuller Center for Housing Mission Trip to Bolivia Volunteers will be staying in the city of La Paz located in a valley with mountains all around it. The groups will be working in the next town over called El Alto which is located about 45 minutes from the hotel that groups will be staying at.
Trips last one to two weeks and groups can choose what dates work best for them. Groups can contact us to set up a week that works best for them. If you are an individual looking to join a trip that is already set-up you can visit our upcoming trips page to see our open trips following the web link listed below.

What We Will Do
Participants will have the unique opportunity to work side by side with the homeowners and other locals to build these new homes. We will be building mostly new homes in the El Alto area. The homes will be built with bricks and will typically be around 750 square feet. The families will typically be ones that have around three kids and two parents as well as a number of single moms. Many of the families earn their income through growing fruits and vegetables which they sell in the markets called ferias. Others work as laborers in the various industries located in La Paz and El Alto.
