Operation Mobilization USA is seeking an experienced, clear and persuasive writer, capable of translating our international programs and community needs into compelling narratives for foundation solicitation. This position can be done remotely, with minimal travel required to home office in the Atlanta, GA area.
We need 2-3 contract grant writers as soon as possible.
Qualifications: • Minimum of five (5) years of professional non-profit grant writing experience. • Previous experience with non-profit fundraising is required. Required Skills: • Should have success in obtaining grants at $100,000 to over $1 million (references will be required and checked). • Experience with preparing all types of fundraising documentation, including briefing memos, letters of intent, concept papers, grants and proposals and stewardship reports. • Strong written communication skills: ability to compile, edit and write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals. • Excellent project, time-management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. • Ability to understand and execute complex instructions. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. • Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies, as well as fundraising information sources. • Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research. • Flexible with ability to prioritize, work well under pressure and consistently exceed deadlines
What We Will Do

The contracted grant writer reports directly to the Grants Manager. The contracted grant writer is responsible for writing various fundraising documentation as assigned, such as proposals, grant applications and stewardship reports, while meeting given deadlines. Professional writing, communications, research skills, and a background in philanthropic funding is a must. This contracted grant writer needs to bring a proven history of writing compelling and award-winning fundraising appeals and reports, while being detail-oriented, flexible, organized and demonstrate effective time-management skills.
