Group Mission Trip to Baja, Mexico

Ten years ago, a retired NFL player built a world-class skate park on the Baja Peninsula in Pescadero. He wanted it to be a ray of light in a dark community. But the skate park has since gone fairly dormant. And to make matters worse, in the fall of 2014, it was hit hard by Hurricane Odile. While the skate bowl itself is still quite functional, a lot of the amenities were damaged. You can be part of repairing and revitalizing this park, and helping us move it toward its original intent. Our vision, coordinated with locals, is to see this park become a place of restoration and recreation for the youth in the community of Pescadero. (Skaters are welcome and can use the park, but it’s not required!)

When you serve in Baja with Group International Mission Trips, you’ll have the chance to serve alongside a group of people who are doing relief work due to the aftermath of hurricane Odile, which left a trail of destruction in the Baja area September of 2014. This global experience will grow your faith and expand your understanding of a different culture from your own.

All ages welcome.

Skills

Taking a Group International Mission Trip lets you see the world through God’s eyes. You’ll gain a fresh perspective about the work God does in local communities throughout the world and that new view will make you more aware of the different cultures and misperceptions about where you’re serving. With a deeper insight, you’ll return home transformed. Plus, you’ll grow closer to Jesus through acts of service and get to know him more deeply.

We’ve partnered with long-term ministries that are rooted in the countries we serve. As you’re reading this, they are passionately serving and loving their neighbors, working to meet physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ name. When we arrive, we come alongside their efforts for long-lasting impact. Types of work vary based on location, no special skills are needed!
