Group Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti and is home to about 9 million people. Corruption and sexual promiscuity are alarmingly rampant even within churches, and few Dominicans have the vision to share the gospel both with their neighbors or go as missionaries to other countries. The most fruitful and effective ministries in the DR are holistic, those that combine evangelism with development and education.

Our ministry partners’ vision is to share the Gospel message and plant churches through implementing a solution that addresses the lack of clean water, food sustainability shortcomings, the limited access to primary healthcare, and the absence of technical and vocational job training for the poor and marginalized in the “El Cibao” region of the Dominican Republic.

When you serve in the Dominican Republic with Group International Mission Trips, you’ll have the chance to serve alongside a group of people who are providing Dominicans every opportunity to rise above the circumstances they were born into. This global experience will grow your faith and expand your understanding of the complexity of poverty.

All ages welcome.

Skills

Taking a Group International Mission Trip lets you see the world through God’s eyes. You’ll gain a fresh perspective about the work God does in local communities throughout the world and that new view will make you more aware of the different cultures and misperceptions about where you’re serving. With a deeper insight, you’ll return home transformed. Plus, you’ll grow closer to Jesus through acts of service and get to know him more deeply.

We’ve partnered with long-term ministries that are rooted in the countries we serve. As you’re reading this, they are passionately serving and loving their neighbors, working to meet physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ name. When we arrive, we come alongside their efforts for long-lasting impact. Types of work vary based on location, no special skills are needed!

What We Will Do

How You’ll Serve

Here are examples of the types of projects you might be involved with (subject to change):

Helping construct a ceramic water filter factory that will be a source of employment for locals, as well as a sustainable source for access to clean water.
Playing games, leading crafts, demonstrating love to kids through a local church
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY: We also have opportunities to play baseball with local Dominican teams, as well as coordinating medical clinics. If this is something that interests you or your group, give us a call!

Our Partners

Our ministry partner has been in the Dominican Republic since 2011, creating a sustainable infrastructure to provide for the basic needs of their neighbors in Santiago. Because of the high level of poverty and low level of education, people don’t have access to basic things that we take for granted like clean water and quality medical care. Our partners are meeting these physical needs as well as spiritual needs in the community in creative and cutting-edge ways. They are developing long-term projects that provide sustainable infrastructure, jobs, and clean water.
