Group Week of Hope Loveland, Colorado 2020

At 5,000 feet above sea level, the views in this northern Colorado city will take your breath away. Being surrounded by beauty can mask the challenges and struggles of the community. Northern Colorado is home to many neighboring communities including Greeley, Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins, and Wellington—all with unique needs.

Week of Hope participants will help greatly in each community through summer camps, homeless ministries, day programs, residential projects, and more.Like many places around the country, the affluent developments on the edge of town don’t tell the whole story of many people with unmet needs. While you spend time with the elderly, the disabled, and the homeless, you might just realize that through serving others, yours is the life being changed.

You’ll get to see the entire area, as projects are planned in Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland.

What We Will Do

How You’ll Serve

During the summer we volunteer with over 20 local organizations. Some projects may include:

Help a local non-profit organization that cares for children that are survivors of abuse and neglect. Participants will help ready the house for families in the evening hours, help with various tasks including: yard work, painting, cleaning, and organizing.
Assist at a couple Adult Day Programs completing a variety of projects to help them run efficiently, as well as interacting with clients during their activity time!
Rotate through different food pantry centers, preparing and serving hot meals to community members, sorting donations, and helping people choose food and clothing.
Assist at a youth sports program, you’ll help lead a team of elementary or middle school aged participants in a fun environment, supporting the activity leaders.
Sort and box items that are sent out internationally–you get to be the hands and feet of Jesus for an organization that helps fight poverty through sustainable, life changing programs.
Assist a non-profit facility that helps homeless families. You will also be making blessing bags for the homeless and delivering them.
