Group Week of Hope Loveland, Colorado

At 5,000 feet above sea level, the views in this northern Colorado city will take your breath away. Being surrounded by beauty can mask the challenges and struggles of the community. Like many places around the country, the affluent developments on the edge of town don’t tell the whole story of many people with unmet needs. While you spend time with the elderly, the disabled, and the homeless, you might just realize that through serving others, yours is the life being changed.

You’ll get to see the entire area, as projects are planned in Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland.

Trips for ages 12+ and preteens 10+

Where

You can hike Horsetooth Reservoir, visit Old Town Fort Collins, or see the Colorado State University campus.

Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are beautiful–you can drive Trail Ridge Road and see the Continental Divide or take your group on a hike to Ouzel Falls from the Wild Basin Trailhead.

Fort Collins has Fort Fun for laser tag and mini golf and also a unique place called the Enigma Escape Room for team building. Loveland has outdoor shopping at Centerra; The Summit for bowling, laser tag, and food; and also a trampoline park.

What We Will Do

How You’ll Serve

As your team members enter into the lives of others and build relationships with the people of Loveland, they’ll experience God working through them at projects such as these:

Help a local non-profit organization that cares for children that are survivors of abuse and neglect. Participants will help ready the house for families in the evening hours, help with various tasks including: yard work, painting, cleaning, and organizing.
Assist at a couple Adult Day Programs completing a variety of projects to help them run efficiently, as well as interacting with clients during their activity time!
Rotate through different food pantry centers, preparing and serving hot meals to community members, sorting donations, and helping people choose food and clothing.
Assist at a youth sports program, you’ll help lead a team of elementary or middle school aged participants in a fun environment, supporting the activity leaders.
Sort and box items that are sent out internationally–you get to be the hands and feet of Jesus for an organization that helps fight poverty through sustainable, life changing programs.
Assist a non-profit facility that helps homeless families. You will also be making blessing bags for the homeless and delivering them.
Work one-on-one with kids with mental disabilities as their buddy.
