“Mateo 28:19” Mission To Nicaragua
This trip will include teaching for Corner of Love’s network of native pastors by Training Leaders International and also have simultaneous medical/clinic activities. It is open to people connected to TLI (for pastoral training, please contact Alex Kirk) and any volunteers who would like to help carry out the medical services and other activities happening on the same days TLI will be teaching. We expect “Mateo 28:19” to have about 25-40 team members but we have room for up to 60 and welcome any new participants! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! Many hands are needed!
Mateo 28:19 is finally happening! Corner of Love is excited to announce this new kind of mission week where volunteers will work closely with humble, Nicaraguan village pastors to help them deepen their bible knowledge and increase overall understanding of scripture. This week-long trip will have many new tasks, such as organizing pastoral resource packages and assisting the pastors as we help fit them for suits and ties. There will also be new stations to work at like Pastor Records station.
As part of the team, you’ll experience a week filled with hard work that is amazingly rewarding. We’ll carry out four medical clinics serving families who survive on less than $1 U.S. per day and lack basic needs like clothing, potable water, and medicine. Each day we’ll stock our supplies and set up work areas like height and weight, visual acuity, general medicine, dental care, pharmacy, clothing, prayer station, and more. The team will serve at Corner of Love’s new facility, Plaza de Bondad on La Lima River (one kilometer from the Quinta).
As always, we do NOT only need healthcare professionals, we also need general volunteers who are willing to help count pills and vitamins, organize the pharmacy, sort shoes and donations, and run the clinics. We have many jobs like filling goodie bags, sorting charts, separating toiletries, etc. that do not require healthcare knowledge. Of course there is a huge need for doctors, dentists, and nurses, too! Help glorify God and come and serve with us! “Nos vemos en la Quinta!”
