Ministry in the Midwest

The Midwest of the United States is often described as “fly-over” country. Yet, as in every region and community, the gospel of Jesus Christ is much needed. This team will be working alongside a rural congregation and also partnering with a small Christian camp to carryout evangelism, discipleship, and practical ministry.

Where

Participants will fly into Kansas City International Airport and transport to Winchester, Kansas will be provided. Team members will be tenting at Camp Curry for the duration of the trip.

When

Late May through late June. Participants can participate for one week or up to four weeks with cost incentives for longer duration participation.

Skills

We are looking for individuals, couples, families, and groups that can aid with vacation Bible school and various day camps for kids, door-to-door evangelism, and grounds work and construction at the camp.

What We Will Do

This team will split its time between efforts to serve a local church in Winchester, Kansas and helping prepare a local camp for a season of ministry. Previous teams have helped mow, trim, paint, organize campfires, practice hospitality, lead bible studies, visit home bound individuals, and seek opportunities to build lasting relationships with brothers and sisters in Christ while seeking to proclaim the gospel in the community.
