The Lord is doing (and has done) amazing things in the hearts of his people in Australia. This team is given the opportunity to come alongside a community of believers who are passionate about serving the Lord and have a heart for their unbelieving neighbors. On this trip, you will serve with a mission-minded community whose members are greatly encouraged by new faces. So inspiring is this trip that there have been multiple individuals and families who have ended up moving to live, work and raise their kids in this community after participating on this short-term mission team!

In the past, this team has been a great support in planning youth holiday programs, community clean up efforts, visiting elderly church members, ministering in nursing homes, bolstering the weekly programs of the church, and living alongside the congregation members.

Australia is a unique place with lots of interesting native animals and beautiful scenery. Some of the animals you might see include Kangaroos, Wombats, Koalas, exotic birds, Tasmanian devils, and possibly even platypuses! Also, because this trip takes you to primarily urban and suburban areas during Australia’s winter months (with weather averages about 50°F), you have a very low chance of coming across any undesired critters!

This community is small in number but deep in faith. If you are looking to spend part of your summer serving the Lord while making friends and memories that will last a lifetime, this short-term mission trip to Australia should be at the top of your list!
