OM Ships – Logos Hope. Life on the ship is fast-paced and can be intense. Come with a servant heart, an attitude to learn, and willingness to be flexible and this can be the experience of a lifetime. Many who have been on STEP say the program has had a huge impact on their lives and futures. STEP is a unique opportunity for young people to serve God on board the world’s largest floating bookstore along with 350 others from 50 different countries.

The STEP (Short Term Exposure Programme) on board the Logos Hope is a unique opportunity for young people to serve God on board the world’s largest floating bookstore to a number of different countries.

When

There are currently 3 different options for joining STEP: Aug 20, 2020 – Nov 11, 2020; Nov 12, 2020 – Jan 20, 2021; Jan 21, 2021 – April 14, 2021 ** Please inquire for more information and application deadlines for each option.

Skills

You should have a desire to serve others and experience what God desires to do in our world today! You should also have a desire for adventure as The Logos Hope will give you an experience like no other. You must have a servant heart, be flexible, willing to learn, be wiling to work on whatever team you placed on for practical work and be in good health.

What We Will Do

You will work on teams in practical service to make the Logos Hope sail smoothly. You will also be a part of a ministry that connects with nearly one million people per year – both on board the ship and in the communities where the ship ports. Living and working alongside people from different nations gives you firsthand experience of what it takes to be a cross-cultural Christian worker. It is both challenging and enriching. The days will be filled with practical work in one of the ship’s departments (40hrs per week/ 8hrs per day). Outreach Teams are one day per week; you will participate in an assigned ministry experience. It might be an onboard programme or an onshore event.
