Pucallpa, Peru | Group Mission Trips
Peru is home to a wildly diverse geography, from pristine beaches on the western side of the country to the rugged barren Andes that separate the coast from the sweltering, green jungle. You will catch a glimpse of that diversity as you travel from Lima to the jungle port town of Pucallpa. When you travel to Peru with Group International Mission Trips, your week with the Shipibo people will capture your soul, invigorate you with the beauty of God’s creation, and remind you that no matter how far away from home you go, you can find brothers and sisters of the faith united together under the love of Christ.
The “El Evangelista” is no ordinary river boat. This 4-story boat was purchased in 2007 as a means to travel down the Ucayali River to serve the Shipibo people and tell them about God. You will stay on the river boat for up to 5 nights, traveling up the Ucayali River into the jungle, where you’ll work alongside our partner, a longtime Peruvian missionary, serving the indigenous Shipibo people. You may also work with a local church and ministry in Pucallpa in the remote jungle in Peru. “El Evangelista” is equipped with AC, bunk beds with mattresses, and a full kitchen and cafeteria.
