We're looking for volunteers to join our mission to link families around the world with street children, orphans, and vulnerable children in Uganda through a heartfelt handwritten letter exchange program.

What Virtual Pen Pal program Volunteers Will Do:
As a volunteer, your role will be to:
1. Reach out to local communities: Connect with schools, community centres, and places of worship to spread the word about our letter exchange program.
2. Find families willing to participate: Engage with families who are interested in exchanging letters with Ugandan children and provide them with information about the program.
3. Facilitate the letter exchange: Collect and distribute letters between families and Ugandan children, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
4. Act as guardians and role models: Offer guidance and support to families as they navigate the letter exchange process, promoting empathy, understanding, and positive relationships.
5. Share the experience: Provide feedback and stories about the impact of the letter exchange program, helping us to improve and expand our mission.

What We Will Do

Uganda Cultural Immersion, safari and Volunteer Program: Giving, Learning, and Adventure Tour Program Overview: Join our Uganda Cultural Immersion, safari and Volunteer Program, a unique opportunity to combine cultural immersion, community service, and adventure travel. This program offers:  Cultural Exchange: Live in our volunteer house and participate in daily community life  Community Service: Contribute to meaningful projects in education, healthcare, or conservation  Adventure Travel: Explore Uganda’s stunning landscapes, wildlife, and natural wonders (optional) – 4-day safari adventure in Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park Cost: $1,200 USD (includes safari activities, transportation, and accommodation) optional-additional to program fees.  Project Placement: Participate in meaningful projects, such as teaching, healthcare, school farming, or conservation  Cultural Immersion: Live in our volunteer house, experiencing Ugandan culture firsthand  Community Engagement: Engage in cultural activities, workshops, and community events Program fees and Details: 5,000 USD  Duration: 12 weeks (with 14 days off to explore Uganda, relax, or pursue personal interests)  Registration fee $100 USD – part of the program fees  Program Fees: $5,000 USD per student (covers all program expenses, including  Project placement and supervision  Insurance (3 months)  Cultural activities and workshops  24/7 support and emergency assistance  Round-trip air tickets to Uganda and back to your country  3 months housing experience  3 months food and caretaker at the house  Transportation in Uganda  Airport pickup and drop-off Additional Costs: Vaccination shots-yellow fever, malaria, and typhoid (approximately a total of $300 USD) and Visa fees $50 USD Program Options: 1. Photography and Media Program: Share your photography and media skills with local communities, documenting their stories and experiences. 2. Farming and Animal Program: Assist with farming and animal care projects, promoting sustainable agriculture and animal welfare practices. 3. Sports Coaching Program: Share your passion for sports with local youth, coaching and mentoring them in various sports disciplines. 4. Environmental Conservation Program: Contribute to environmental conservation efforts, participating in projects such as tree planting, and community education. 5. Health Education Program: Assist with health education initiatives, promoting healthy practices and disease prevention in local communities. 6. Medical Internship: Gain hands-on medical experience, interning at local hospitals and healthcare clinics. 7. Teaching and Education Program-English, Math, Science, and History: Assist with teaching and education projects, supporting local schools and promoting education for disadvantaged children.
