Africa Mountain Mission

We first arrived in Eswatini in 2005. We instantly fell in love with the country and its people! We knew we belonged here, and that Eswatini was our home! Many beautiful and lasting friendships were formed, and many blessings occurred. During our stay here we would sit on a large rock and look out over a portion of land. We thought it would be a great place to have a ministry and to live, so we prayed that God would provide us with that land for ministry.

One day, while out for a walk on a mountain road, a truck pulled up and a gentleman stepped out. We had heard of him before as he was known to those we were staying with, but we did not personally know him at the time. We talked briefly. He asked us to look out over the land that was before us and said that he would give us land for a ministry. Not much more was said, and he left. We would later become friends over email and Facebook.

When it came time to leave Eswatini, our hearts were saddened. We knew our coming here was part of God’s plan for our lives, and that He would one day bring us back.

Years later, while working on my nurse practitioner degree, I came across a Facebook post from the gentleman we met on that road in Eswatini. The post said he had some land available. After speaking further with him, and looking over the pictures, we realized that it was the same land we asked the Lord to give us! While the cost was very reasonable, we knew there was no way we could come up with the funds. So we prayed to the LORD for the provision. The very next day, we received a check in the mail for the same amount we needed to reserve the land. We trusted the Lord would bring us back in His timing.

A couple of years later in 2023 due to divine circumstances, we arrived back in Eswatini and Africa Mountain Mission has been established. Praise the Lord. By His hands alone everything can be done.
