Our History
Our founders traveled to Kenya in 2007 to evaluate a medical project and to conduct the first API USA Pastor’s Conference. The Kenyan pastors and the people they served captured our hearts and in 2008 Agape Project International USA was created as a religious non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
Our Mission
API USA partners with the pastors and leaders of the Kenyan churches to proclaim Jesus Christ to the people of Kenya in word and deed by: • Equipping pastors to serve their congregations and communities • Providing resources to local congregations to build churches • Providing medical care to the underserved in rural areas • Caring for orphans and vulnerable children
Our Values
We believe we are people redeemed and transformed by Jesus and sent out on mission by Him into the world. As ambassadors of Christ we aim to live out three core values in all we do. Gospel – the good news of the life, sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God is central to everything we do. Mission – by what we say and by what we do, we proclaim this good news of the gospel. Love – the love of God that has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit through the gospel is our motivation for missions.
Agape Project International USA - What We Do
We offer two-week mission trips twice a year with an emphasis on pastoral training, church building, medical camps and evangelism. Participation in pastoral training and church building missions are by invitation only. Our Medical Ministry Camps (MMC) provide primary care services to 2,200+ Kenyans. Our free services include diagnoses, lab, medication, wound care, reading glasses and dental services depending upon available staff. MMC’s are usually in remote locations where our team of Kenyans and Americans work side-by-side. We train local pastors to present the gospel message and witness 300-500 accept Jesus Christ. Our volunteers include medical professionals and servants with a loving heart (vitals, photo/video, worship, pharmacy, data input, prayer warriors, evangelism, and mini-VBS workers).
