In 2018 we celebrate 50 years of ministry at Asian Access. I’m so excited about what God has on the horizon for us in the future too. I sense a fresh move of God’s Spirit in Japan as pastors share a new vision for planting churches. And, the investment of all these 50 years is now spreading across Asia in such a powerful fashion. It’s amazing to see what all that God is doing!
To identify, develop and release emerging kingdom leaders to unite the church, multiply leaders and congregations, and extend the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
To see a vibrant community of servant leaders with vision, character and competence leading the church across Asia
Asian Access Ministries - What We Do
1 – Christlike LEADERS: Asian Access’ primary customer is the pastor of a church in Asia. As we focus on that demographic, we want to develop leaders who are growing in Christlikeness. We focus on urging each leader to nurture their love relationship with God; this produces character and being molded into Christ’s image. But it’s more than simply growing personally. As a result of participating in the A2 Leader Development program, we want graduates to be more Christlike leaders, too. Because they are positive role models, this affects everyone in each leader’s leads.
2 – Vibrant COMMUNITIES: We realize that we do not develop leaders within a vacuum. Certainly, at the core, they are a part of their own community—their local church. But beyond that, we see a huge upside to linking pastors with one another. We have seen how each class of 12 or so pastors becomes a tight-knit and safe community. This is a prerequisite for the transformational process in each leader’s life. Furthermore, we see the benefit of linking pastors together in their own cities, regions, countries and across the continent of Asia. This vibrant community contributes to the unity of Christ’s body in the world. This is deeply satisfying work.We want to develop leaders who are growing in Christlikeness.
3 – Collaborative CHURCH NETWORKS
A third ministry sphere of Asian Access is on the network level. In Japan, this is how we’ve deployed our church multiplication strategy. But also across Asia, we see that churches partnering with other churches contributes to kingdom growth. As a result of participating in the A2 Leader Development program, we trust that each participant with be more kingdom-minded.
4 – Transformed COUNTRIES: Asian Access seeks to extend the transforming power of the Gospel across Asia. But we cannot really do this on our own. However, we try to contribute on the macro scale by concentrating on the first three ministry spheres. Doing so creates the environment for large-scale transformation. Leaders change the churches; changed congregations change communities. Changed communities can transform societies and even countries.
