What We Do
What We Do at Children’s Rescue Mission
At Children’s Rescue Mission (CRM), our mission is to empower children and families in Honduras to break the cycle of generational poverty through Christ-centered education, discipleship, and community development. We care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—while building stronger families and Christ-centered communities for the long term.
1. Christ-Centered Education Initiative
We believe education is key to breaking poverty and discovering purpose. Through this initiative, we:
Sponsor students to attend school from primary to college level.
Offer scholarships to teens pursuing higher education in the capital.
Provide school supplies, uniforms, meals, transportation, and housing support for those in need.
Plan to establish a Christian bilingual K-12 school in Teupasenti that integrates faith, academics, and leadership.
Our goal is not just academic success—but to raise Christ-following, community-minded leaders who give back and transform their own communities.
2. Feeding Center for Children and Seniors
We run a dedicated Feeding Center that provides nutritious meals to children and elderly individuals who may otherwise go without. Through this program, we:
Serve hot, nutritious meals five days a week to children and seniors in need.
Create a space of dignity, joy, and care for the most vulnerable.
Combine physical nourishment with spiritual encouragement and prayer.
Provide a consistent place of hope, especially for widows, the elderly, and malnourished children.
Food is love in action—and we believe no child or grandparent should be forgotten.
3. Youth Discipleship & Mentorship
We disciple the next generation by helping them understand who they are in Christ, resist the lies of culture, and walk boldly in faith. Through youth programs, we:
Host Bible studies, retreats, and discipleship groups.
Provide one-on-one mentorship for spiritual and personal growth.
Organize sports, arts, and leadership activities that build character and community.
Equip students to serve their neighbors and share their faith.
Our goal is to create a safe place where young people feel seen, loved, and called to something greater.
4. Family Support & Community Outreach
We believe transformation begins in the home. That’s why we come alongside families and communities to provide:
Food distributions, especially during times of crisis or natural disaster.
Home visits and pastoral care to encourage, pray with, and assess family needs.
Workshops and parenting classes to support healthy relationships and faith formation at home.
Holiday outreach and celebrations that bring hope, joy, and the message of Jesus to entire neighborhoods.
We aim to build stronger families who reflect the love of Christ and support one another.
5. Short-Term Mission Team Hosting
CRM is actively expanding to host short-term mission teams (STM) from churches and organizations around the world. Teams can serve in:
Children’s programs, VBS, and community outreach.
Construction projects (home repairs, facility improvements, school infrastructure).
Education support, tutoring, and ESL.
Medical missions, pastoral training, or evangelism (as needed and coordinated).
We provide culturally immersive, gospel-driven mission experiences that bless both the visiting team and the local community.
6. Leadership Development
We are laying the groundwork for a Christian Leadership Institute to:
Train local pastors, church leaders, and young professionals in theology, leadership, and ministry.
Empower a new generation of Honduran leaders to guide their churches, schools, and communities with biblical truth and vision.
Our long-term vision is to see Honduras transformed from within by Christ-centered, equipped leaders who serve with wisdom, humility, and boldness.
In All Things, We Point to Jesus
Every program at CRM is designed to demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and deed. We don’t just meet needs—we walk with people in relationship, speak truth in love, and invite them into the hope of the gospel.
Because when a child finds Christ, a family finds hope—and a community finds a future.
