Covenant Youth of Alaska

A ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Alaska, we are a relational outreach, discipleship and leadership ministry for Alaska youth and young adults.

Our History

In 1992, The Alaska Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church launched a youth and children’s ministry initiative to help Alaska Covenant churches have a coordinated effort for children and youth. In 1995 the department focused specifically on youth and young adult ministry and took on the name Covenant Youth of Alaska. The AC then initiated the incorporation of Covenant Youth of Alaska in 2006.

What We Do

Covenant Youth of Alaska is committed to the development of youth ministry in Alaska. We coordinate a team of youth leaders, churches and volunteers who focus on ministering to students between the ages of twelve and twenty-five. Our ministry to students ranges from running youth group in a small village, to equipping students for life with vocational training and Christian mentoring. We use the term ‘Continuum of Care’ to illustrate the opportunities students have to find hope, healing and freedom in Christ, experience the support of God’s people, and then to serve, whether at home in the village or on the road system throughout the year.
