As he saw poverty, especially orphaned children and widows, he began using his music platform to raise funds to help them, eventually resulting in establishing his own network of ministering to the needs of underprivileged children and widows. As of this writing DSM has ministered in 36 countries with ongoing ministry in Honduras, Haiti, India, Ukraine and Poland.

Don Shire Ministries, Inc. is a not-for-profit ministry. Our purpose is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who will hear through personal ministry and in assisting missionaries and evangelical servants through short-term mission opportunities. We believe that God’s word specifically instructs us to care for orphans and widows and to help the underprivileged of the world wherever possible.
We are inter-denominational and are governed by a board of directors. All donations are tax-deductible.

Don Shire does evangelistic music concerts which raises awareness of the ministry’s outreach to orphans, widows and refugees. We maintain an orphanage in Haiti and minister to street children and widows in India. We help the needs of war refugees in Ukraine and also in Poland and other countries.
