Mission University / Global Education Ministries Foundation

Global Education Ministries Foundation and Mission College of Health Sciences provides opportunities to advance education and serve others through missions.

Our History

Mission University is the academic division of Global Education Ministries Foundation, a registered 501c3 nonprofit public charity, organized to support global humanitarian community outreach. We exist to promote greater well-being for the under-served through a unique Global Internship Program, where our paid interns help with international program development, workforce support, fundraising, and global humanitarian community-based services.

Mission University specializes in connecting our faculty, staff, students, and healthcare volunteers to organizations where they are most needed to address factors that threaten health and well-being for populations with a core mission to promote health and serve the vulnerable. These populations are often in remote geographic regions internationally, as well as urban and rural environments in the United States.

Our Global Internships specialize in experiential education for students through US and international placement as a way to gain unique, hands-on work experience while serving the most under-served populations in challenging global settings. Our primary aims are to resource our partners and their communities through educational outreach and support programs to increase the quality, availability, and effectiveness of educational and community-based programs designed to prevent disease and injury, improve health, and enhance quality of life.

Our Mission

Our Mission: “Our ministry provides global internship programs to individuals who desire to advance their learning while serving to support the wellbeing of those most in need.”

Our Values

Our Values: “Our values are based on Matthew 22:36-39 which reads, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Be honest – Ephesians 4:15 “Speak the truth in love” Be humble – Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves” Be thankful – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances” Be gracious – Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” Be compassionate – Colossians 3:12 “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience”
