Gomba Kwagalakwe Public Health Support Foundation

The Gomba Kwagalakwe Public Health Support Foundation stands as a living testament to what happens when ordinary people respond to extraordinary need with unwavering faith, compassion, and relentless action. In the rural heart of Gomba District, Central Uganda, where poverty and distance often steal hope before it can even take root, this ministry began in 2013 not with grand plans or abundant resources, but with a simple, convicting truth: health is a right, not a privilege—and no child of God should suffer in silence when healing is within reach.

It started with community outreaches—humble teams walking dusty paths, entering homes and villages to offer health education, basic screenings, vaccinations, nutrition guidance, and prayerful encouragement. They met mothers exhausted from unsupported pregnancies, children weakened by preventable diseases, elders forgotten in isolation, and families crushed under the weight of medical costs. Every encounter burned a question into their hearts: How can we turn away when Jesus calls us to care for the least of these? These early outreaches were more than medical visits; they were acts of love that built trust, sparked hope, and proved that showing up matters.

From those faithful steps in the field came the next chapter: a small clinic—the Ebenezer Clinic—born as a beacon of consistent care. What began as a modest space for outpatient treatment, diagnostics, and chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, and more) quickly became a sanctuary where dignity was restored one patient at a time. Here, the foundation learned that true healing addresses body, mind, and spirit, rooted in the motto “For God and Health Promotion.”

But the call grew louder. The Ebenezer Clinic evolved into a thriving community clinic, the heart of a comprehensive movement that refuses to leave any part of healthcare behind. Today, the foundation delivers a full spectrum of life-changing services, ensuring nothing—and no one—is lost:

Maternal, Newborn & Child Health — Skilled births, antenatal and postnatal care, immunizations, and nutrition to save lives at the most vulnerable moments.
Child-Focused Health Education — Empowering the young through workshops and teachings that plant seeds of lifelong wellness.

Elder Care — Home visits, medical support, and the visionary Kwagalakwe Golden Years Care Residence to honor and protect seniors from neglect and loneliness.
Primary & Chronic Care — Reliable treatment that prevents small illnesses from becoming lifelong tragedies.

WASH & Nutrition Security — Clean water, sanitation, hygiene, and food access to stop disease before it starts.

Livelihoods & Resilience — Agriculture, conservation, and economic support to heal communities holistically.

Kwagalakwe Mobile Health Initiative — Bringing clinic-level care to the remotest corners.
Kwagalakwe Scholars Program — Investing in the brightest young minds from vulnerable families, providing scholarships, mentorship, and educational support so children who once faced barriers to schooling can rise as future leaders, health advocates, and change-makers in Gomba.

Over a decade, this journey has touched thousands—around 6,000 beneficiaries each year, countless safe deliveries, managed chronic cases, nourished children, and dignified elders. Yet the true measure is in transformed lives: a mother who held her newborn without fear, a child who learned to dream beyond survival, an elder who feels seen and valued, a scholar who breaks generational cycles of poverty.

This is no ordinary story—it’s a conviction. In a world quick to overlook the rural poor, Gomba Kwagalakwe declares: God sees them. We see them. And together, we will not let them fall through the cracks. Faith without works is dead, but faith in action builds futures. From outreaches in the dust to scholarships lifting dreams, every step proves that when God’s people respond to suffering with love, healing flows, hope rises, and entire communities are redeemed.

Our Mission

“We exist to advance health, dignity, and hope for every person in Gomba District, especially the most marginalized—the poorest of the poor, isolated elders, vulnerable mothers and children, and families at risk of ruin from illness—because health is a right, not a privilege.”

Guided by our faith and the motto “For God and Health Promotion,” we are called to listen deeply, partner faithfully, and advocate tirelessly. We refuse to let any life slip through the cracks. Through holistic, community-centered programs—from outreaches in remote villages to the Ebenezer Clinic’s reliable care, dignified elder support, maternal and child health services, integrated WASH and nutrition security, livelihoods resilience, mobile health initiatives, and the Kwagalakwe Scholars Program investing in the next generation—we commit to building a healthier, more equitable Gomba where no one is overlooked, suffering is prevented, wholeness is restored, and every individual can thrive in body, mind, and spirit.
This is our sacred conviction: In serving the vulnerable, we reflect God’s love in action. We will walk alongside our community, step by step, until every mother delivers safely, every child grows strong, every elder is honored, every scholar rises, and every family stands resilient. No one left behind. No need unmet. For God, for health, for Gomba.

Our Values

At Gomba Kwagalakwe Public Health Support Foundation, our work flows from these foundational convictions that shape every outreach, clinic visit, program, and partnership. They are not just principles—they are the heartbeat of our Christ-centered ministry in rural Uganda.

Health is a Right, Not a Privilege
Every person deserves access to quality, timely, and dignified healthcare, no matter their poverty, location, or circumstance. We actively dismantle barriers so no one in Gomba is denied healing.
Dignity for Every Life
We honor the God-given worth of each individual. From vulnerable mothers and children to isolated elders and aspiring scholars, we serve with deep respect, compassion, and the belief that everyone is made in God’s image.
Love and Mutual Care (Kwagalakwe)
“Kwagalakwe” means selfless, community love for the vulnerable. We embody this by showing up in love, listening to real needs, staying through hard nights, and standing together—because true healing happens in an atmosphere of genuine, sacrificial care.
Faith-Inspired Service (“For God and Health Promotion”)
Rooted in our Christian faith, we see healthcare as an act of worship and stewardship of life. Promoting health reflects God’s heart for wholeness—body, mind, and spirit—and we serve the least of these as unto Him.
Partnership, Listening, and Advocacy
We are partners, not outsiders. We listen first to the community’s voice, walk alongside people, and advocate boldly for justice and equity. Lasting change comes through collaboration and empowering locals to lead.
Equity, Inclusion, and No One Left Behind
We refuse to overlook anyone. Our programs reach the poorest, the isolated, the at-risk—through innovations like the Kwagalakwe Health Security Card, mobile outreaches, elder care, maternal services, and the Scholars Program—so every life counts and every need is met.
Resilience and Holistic Transformation
Health connects to dignity, education, livelihoods, environment, and community strength. We build sustainable resilience by addressing root causes—preventing suffering today and empowering futures tomorrow through scholarships, agriculture, conservation, and faith-driven hope.

These core values convict us, inspire us, and guide us daily. They declare that in Gomba District, with God’s grace and community love, we can create a place where suffering is prevented, lives are restored, and hope endures for generations. We invite fellow believers—volunteers, medical teams, donors, and partners—to join us in living out these values through Christ-centered service that transforms rural Uganda, one person, one family, one village at a time.

What We Do

Gomba Kwagalakwe Public Health Support Foundation is a faith-based, community-centered non-profit organization dedicated to promoting health equity, dignity, and resilience in the rural communities of Gomba District, Central Uganda. Founded in 2013 with the guiding motto “For God and Health Promotion,” we operate on the core conviction that health is a right, not a privilege. We refuse to let any life—especially among the most marginalized—be overlooked or left behind.
We deliver a comprehensive, holistic range of healthcare and support services that address physical, social, economic, and preventive needs. Our work centers on the Ebenezer Clinic as our flagship hub, while extending far beyond its walls through mobile outreaches, education, partnerships, and innovative programs. Here’s what we do:

Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH): We provide full-spectrum care including antenatal and postnatal services, skilled birth attendance, immunizations, nutrition support, and community education to drastically reduce preventable deaths and ensure mothers and children thrive from pregnancy through early childhood.
Elder Care & Geriatric Well-being: We offer dedicated support for isolated seniors through home visits, health check-ups, ongoing companionship, and advocacy. We’re pioneering the Kwagalakwe Golden Years Care Residence—a planned facility to provide dignified, holistic care and combat neglect, loneliness, and medical gaps faced by elders in our district.
Primary Healthcare & Chronic Disease Management: At the Ebenezer Clinic, we deliver reliable outpatient care, diagnostics, treatment for common illnesses, and sustained management of chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension—ensuring consistent access for all ages in underserved areas.
Integrated WASH & Nutrition Security: We link health directly to clean water, sanitation, hygiene improvements, nutrition programs, and food security initiatives to prevent disease outbreaks and build long-term wellness.
Health & Livelihoods Resilience: We connect health interventions with sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and economic empowerment to address root causes of poor health and strengthen community resilience against poverty and climate challenges.
Kwagalakwe Mobile Health Initiative & Outreaches: We bring clinic-level care, screenings, education, vaccinations, and support directly to remote villages and hard-to-reach homes—meeting people where they are and building trust through presence and practical help.
Child-Focused Health Education & Kwagalakwe Scholars Program: We empower the next generation with interactive health teachings in schools and communities, while providing scholarships, mentorship, and educational support to bright children from vulnerable families—breaking cycles of poverty and investing in future leaders and health advocates.

Our approach is deeply rooted in love, partnership, listening, and advocacy (“Kwagalakwe” embodies selfless community care for the vulnerable). We serve the poorest of the poor, isolated elders, vulnerable mothers and children, and families at risk—reaching around 6,000 beneficiaries annually through multiple projects and a committed team. Every activity reflects our faith-driven commitment: to prevent suffering, restore wholeness (body, mind, and spirit), promote equity, and build a healthier, more hopeful Gomba District where no one is forgotten.
