Guatemala Children’s Mission – Agua Viva

Agua Viva Children’s Home and School is a non-denominational Christian ministry that meets the physical and spiritual needs of impoverished, at risk children in Guatemala. Our goal for these children is to rear and educate them in a loving Christian environment to be successful, Christian adults with the desire and ability to help their own people.

Our History

Agua Viva Children’s Home was originally opened in 1977 after the catastrophic earthquake that devastated Guatemala. We started out taking malnourished babies into a small home and over the years have grown into a large children’s home that cares for around 80 children from backgrounds of extreme poverty, abuse and neglect. We have also opened a Christian School that educates about 300 students with over 70% of our students attending on scholarships.
