Highlands Christian Grammar School

Highlands Christian Grammar School provides a solid, international-quality Christian education for expatriate (mission) families, and local families whose aspirations require a level of education that will allow them to continue their studies overseas, and who desire to build a strong academic, cultural and spiritual basis for their children. We are located in the beautiful highlands of Papua New Guinea where produce is plentiful and people are hard-working. The school is located right in the city of Mt. Hagen close to amenities, service and the airport. Our History

Highlands Christian Grammar School was established in 2009 to provide an international-quality, Christian education for expatriate (mission) families, and local families whose aspirations require a level of education that will allow them to continue their studies overseas, and who desire to build a strong academic, cultural and spiritual basis for their children. We recently started a new Award: The Future Prime Minister of PNG Award, an initiative that demonstrates our commitment to developing leaders for national impact.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide, in partnership with parents and the community, a well-rounded educational program which is Christ-centred, academically excellent, culturally sensitive and supportive of individual needs and gifts for the purpose of develop leaders for the future.

Our Values

We value a strong Christ-centered education based on principle, quality and leadership. The Bible is the foundation that gives purpose and enthusiasm for learning. Our teachers are from a range of international backgrounds supporting the valuing of all people and a richness of one-ness in the Gospel.

 

What We Do

At Highlands Christian Grammar School we provide an international-level education for students in pre-school up through grade 9. We maintain a high standard and seek to promote skill development that will prepare students to return to their “home” countries or to go abroad for study. Our school teaches from a Christian perspective. Students come from mission families, local national families and business families.
