Hope Project International
Than and Megan Graffam founded Hope Project International after 10 years of experience as full time Children’s Pastors. Both have international missions experience through short term trips starting in 1999. Through those trips they saw the need for people to come alongside of missionaries and existing programs to bring help to kids who desperately need it. With their hearts full of compassion and vision they started Hope Project International in April of 2013.
Hope Project takes several short term trips to Nicaragua each year. Nicaragua is the poorest country in Central America, with almost 80% of it’s population living with less than $2 per day. We partner together with a child development center in Managua and a church in a barrio called Cristo Rey. On these trips we build homes for families in Cristo Rey, deliver much needed supplies to New Life and Casa Del Rey and participate in the programs there that we support.
Since October, 2013 Hope Project has built 45 homes, delivered over 2600 pounds of supplies and provided the funds for more than 56,000 meals for children. Its amazing to see the transformation of lives through these efforts.
New Life Nicaragua is a child development center. They serve abused, abandoned and malnourished children by addressing their nutritional needs and health issues. They work with children from various barrios of Managua, Nicaragua.
Casa Del Rey is a church in Cristo Rey, Nicaragua. They provide a program for over 150 children in their community that educates them, teaches them the word of God, provides them with opportunities to learn life skills and feeds them weekly.
Casa Del Rey has a sister church in Ciudadela, Nicaragua that provides a program for 80 children in their community that educates them, teaches them the word of God, provides them with opportunities to learn life skills and feeds them weekly.
