Kibogora Polytechnic

Kibogora Polytechnic is a Christian university in the beautiful West Province of Rwanda. We seek active or retired academic professionals for 6m or longer assignments to senior academic roles including Director of Academic Quality and Dean of Faculty. Appropriate qualifications and experience for each role are essential. We also welcome enquiries for assignments of at least two weeks from academics to teach on our programs (see below) if you have flexibility to fit in with our schedule.

Our History

Kibogora Polytechnic is a university-level institution in the stunningly beautiful but remote Western Province of Rwanda. Started in 2012 by committed Christians in the region, it is now owned by the Free Methodist Church of Rwanda. It was granted full legal status in January 2015.

Our Mission

To bring Christian Higher Learning to the Western province of Rwanda, benefiting students, employers, churches and the community. It has graduated three cohorts of 250 students, has 1000 current students and is active in research in the community.

Our Values

Everything we do shall be honoring to God. While we welcome students and staff of all faiths and none, all who join us know that we are a Christian organisation and our values and behaviors are shaped accordingly.

What We Do

We have four academic legs – Health Sciences (Nursing, Midwifery and Biomedical science), Business and Development Studies (including Accounting and Tourism), Education (specialising in languages and humanities) and Theology. The theology program is a degree franchised from Hope Africa University Burundi, the remainder are Rwandan qualifications for which we are accredited. Our need is for academic leaders and teachers, requiring Masters or Doctorate qualifications. One pressing need is to replace the Director of Academic Quality so if you have experience of academic leadership and are considering six to twelve months mission in Africa this is for you
