Kingdom Refugee Care

KRC was officially launched in July 2024, born out of a desire to meet both the spiritual and practical needs of some of the most vulnerable people in the world. Over time, our work expanded to include health screenings, community outreach, discipleship, and education initiatives for teens.

Today, KRC is focused on building a Kingdom Hub—a center for holistic refugee support that includes a GED-based learning center, a teacher training program, and spiritual community rooted in the local church.

Our History

KRC was officially launched in July 2024, born out of a desire to meet both the spiritual and practical needs of some of the most vulnerable people in the world. Over time, our work expanded to include health screenings, community outreach, discipleship, and education initiatives for teens.

Today, KRC is focused on building a Kingdom Hub—a center for holistic refugee support that includes a GED-based learning center, a teacher training program, and spiritual community rooted in the local church.

Our Mission

KRC’s mission is to equip, unite, and mobilize the church to serve the refugee community in Kuala Lumpur through holistic, gospel-driven care—providing education, employment, discipleship, and community.

Our Values

1: Honor All People
We believe that all humans have inherent worth and all people, sojourners especially, are welcome in God’s kingdom.

2: Seek Justice
We pursue God’s heart by speaking out against injustice and pursuing peace, honoring both the Creator and His creation.

3. Serve the Persecuted
As part of Christ’s family, we stand with our persecuted brothers and sisters, offering care, support, and encouragement in their time of need.

4: Equip the Church
We empower and equip local (Malaysia) and global (America) churches through sending and serving programs.

5: Multiply God’s Love
We grow ourselves and others in Christ-likeness so that we can display His love and proclaim His goodness.

6: Invite the Nations
We invite the nations to come and see God’s goodness by taking part in our programs. We believe they will “know us by our love.”

What We Do

1. EDUCATION-BASED INITIATIVES: Empowering refugees through high-quality, hope-filled learning.
In a community where 84% of children (ages 13–17) are not in any type of school, education remains perhaps the greatest need for refugees in Kuala Lumpur. Kingdom Refugee Care addresses this gap by providing accessible, high-quality learning opportunities that give refugees the tools to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

2. COMMUNITY-BASED INITIATIVES: Loving our neighbors through faithful presence and practical help.
KRC’s community programs bring our mission outside the walls of the Hub and into the greater refugee community of KL. Our Outreach Programs aim to reflect Christ’s love in word and deed—so that refugees may know they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

3. FAITH-BASED INITIATIVES: Bringing hope and truth through presence, prayer, and proclamation.
KRC believes that people flourish when their whole selves—body, mind, and soul—are cared for. Our faith-based programs nurture spiritual growth by inviting refugees into a deeper relationship with Christ—so they can experience lasting hope, healing, and purpose in every area of life.
