Metro World Child

Metro World Child is a faith-based humanitarian organization committed to serving the underprivileged inner-city children of the world. By sharing the Gospel, showing God’s love and meeting needs, together, we can help break the cycle of poverty, provide hope, build futures and empower children to rise up out of the streets and become tomorrow’s leaders.

Our History

Metro World Child was founded in 1980 in Brooklyn, New York by Pastor Bill Wilson. The ministry aims to reach at-risk, inner-city children exposed to violence, drugs, gangs, neglect and poverty. We reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through high-impact, fun and exciting Sunday School services.
Since then Metro World Child has expanded into 22 countries world wide.

Our Mission

Our mission at Metro World Child is to reach as many children worldwide with the message of the Gospel, to lead them into their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to the best of our ability, help meet whatever spiritual, practical and emotional needs that arise. As a result, our hope is to see the next generation raised up to become leaders and fulfill God’s unique plan for their lives.

Our Values

We believe that it is better to build boys and girls and help set their life on a right path at an early age than it is to repair broken men and women years down the road. We believe that prevention is better than intervention; that reaching the next generation at an early age and introducing them to the love and hope of Christ is the best chance at setting their young life on the right road. Instilling Godly principles found in God’s word to help lead and guide them to personal relationship with Jesus

What We Do

Here are several ways Metro World Child currently works to empower at-risk children: – Helping children encounter the love and hope of Christ through weekly Sunday School programs and summer camps, both of which have the potential to greatly impact lives and change young mindsets. – Investing personally in the lives of the children through consistent one-on-one relationships, weekly home visits and child sponsorship. – Meeting physical needs that hinder personal and spiritual growth, such as school supplies, clothing, food and clean water. This is done internationally in all our locations.
