The vision of Multiplication Network is to see a healthy church representing the Kingdom of God in every community. Our mission is to equip leaders with the tools to strengthen and multiply healthy churches.
Established in 2000 by John Wagenveld, Multiplication Network grew as others caught on to what God was already doing. A network of church planting experts throughout Latin America caught the vision, formed teams, and worked hard to develop the ministry. Each year, God has expanded the organization into more and more countries. In 2007, Multiplication Network was formally incorporated in the state of Illinois as a non-profit mission.
Multiplication Network’s Founding Years (2000-2010) were focused on developing the tools to effectively train church planters and on building partnerships with those who needed the tools. The Pioneering Years (2010-2020) were years of significant growth. From starting 264 churches in 2010 to 4,354 churches in 2020, Multiplication Network was blessed to see more than 1,045,400 people in over 50 countries now following Jesus and being discipled.
God has continued to bless Multiplication Network with great momentum, including strong donor support, strategic organizational partnerships, and increasing ministry participation. We have 7 global ministry hubs – Latin America, East Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Caribbean & US Hispanics, West Africa, and Europe – from which leaders receive training that teaches them to strengthen churches and more than 50,000 churches have been started in 12 years.
Our mission is to equip leaders with the tools to strengthen and multiply healthy churches. We equip local leaders who already understand their culture, language, and social networks, enabling them to share the Gospel more effectively. Healthy churches are best equipped to solve long-term socio-economic challenges in their own communities. Our vision is to see a healthy church representing the Kingdom of God in every community.

Multiplication Network is a global church planter training ministry. Multiplication Network is about transformed lives, families, and communities through the power of Jesus. The Gospel brings hope and transformation.
We start churches because we believe these are outposts for evangelism and for sharing Jesus with a community. And as people become believers, we invest in helping them become disciples. Disciples are raised up to be leaders. And leaders plant churches that impact their culture with the values of the Kingdom of God.
