Brief History of Nyakeyo Pentecostal Church and Children’s Home
Nyakeyo Pentecostal Church and Children’s Home was founded by Pastor Brian Marube, a man who knows the pain of losing everything — and the power of God’s restoration. Orphaned at a young age after a tragic road accident claimed both his parents, Brian was raised in a local orphanage under the care of Bishop Marube. After the Bishop passed away, Brian took on the responsibility of caring for the younger orphans who were left behind.
Over time, this small act of love grew into a ministry. With no steady income, Brian worked casual jobs to shelter and feed the children. Today, the ministry cares for many total orphans and vulnerable children, as well as poor elderly members of the community.
Despite many hardships — including eviction threats and lack of clean water — the ministry continues by faith. Recently, a church member donated one acre of land, and the vision now is to build a permanent orphanage and church, with water harvesting systems to provide a safe and stable home for the children.
Nyakeyo Pentecostal Church and Children’s Home exists to rescue, raise, and restore lives through Christ — and we invite you to be part of this mission.
