Asociación Proyecto Butterfly was founded in 2021 in Valencia, Spain, as a faith-inspired non-profit organization committed to serving vulnerable children and families facing medical and social hardship.
The organization was born out of a deep Christian calling to protect life, restore dignity, and offer practical compassion to those in need. What began as a small initiative to support children requiring urgent medical treatment has grown into a structured humanitarian project that provides temporary accommodation, social support, and holistic care for families arriving in Spain for life-saving surgeries.
Our mission is rooted in Christian values of love, service, integrity, and hope. We believe that faith must be expressed through action — caring for the sick, welcoming the stranger, and walking alongside families during their most difficult moments.
Over the past years, Proyecto Butterfly has:
Hosted children from different countries for complex medical treatment in Spain
Provided safe housing through Casa Butterfly
Coordinated with hospitals, social workers, and international partners
Supported families affected by crisis situations (including natural disasters)
Mobilized volunteers and mission-minded individuals across Europe
We operate as a registered Spanish association, working collaboratively with local institutions while maintaining our Christian identity as the foundation of our service.
Proyecto Butterfly continues to grow as a community of faith in action — committed to healing, restoration, and bringing hope where it is most needed.
