Ratidzo Trust is the ‘Vision’ we have to help those most disadvantaged and vulnerable in rural areas around the world. Our objectives are to prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship for vulnerable peoples, orphans (HIV/AIDS & Conflict), the elderly and those living with disabilities around the world by helping them generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
To advance the education of pupils at schools in rural areas around the world by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the schools.
And to promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by relieving poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities. Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Ratidzo Trust is the ‘Vision’ we (Richard and Edline Jarman) have to help those in need in rural areas of the World. Our first project being in Sanyati, Zimbabwe, where Edline is from. We have visited and stayed in Sanyati several times over the last few years, (including a 2 month fact finding trip Sep – Nov 2015). This is where the ‘Vision – Ratidzo’ to help others, first became clear and where Ratidzo Trust has grown from. Edline identifies herself with the area and wishes to continue her parents’ interest and vision of helping the community. Richard has a keen interest in community and mission work and shares Edline’s wishes.
Our Mission as a Trust is to follow out the commands of our Lord Jesus, to spread the gospel and serve the disadvantaged through the support of individuals, schools, churches and communities in rural areas.
As a Christian couple we have both felt, individually and together, God’s call to Mission work. We have a heart for the disadvantaged and vulnerable in society, therefore we have decided to step out in faith to help those in need.
Ratidzo Trust - What We Do
We work with those in rural communities, setting up sustainable income generating projects for the most disadvantaged. We also offer orphan sponsorship, support local schools and run 2 week mission trips for up to 6 people to help us in our work in the community, visiting and working with local schools, orphans and their families, refurbishing buildings, setting up the projects and experiencing rural Zimbabwe.
