Our History

Teen Missions International, a pioneer in short-term missions was founded in 1970. Starting in a one-car garage in Florida and sending out one team of teenagers, Teen Missions has grown into an international organization. We have sent out hundreds of teams and thousands of teens have participated over the years.

Our Mission

“Training tomorrow’s missionaries today,” has been the motto of Teen Missions since it’s inception. Using techniques that have been developed for over 40 years, we effectively train, equip, and send youth to make a difference. “After a summer with Teen Missions, teenagers will leave challenged to live life in light of eternity.”

Our Values

Teen Missions places a high value on teaching salvation by faith alone and stresses the importance of the Bible as Truth to live by. We are interested in developing spiritual disciplines in the lives of youth, such as, having a daily time with the Lord each day and memorizing scripture. Throughout the summer, these values are taught in order to help team members grow in their understanding of solid Christian principles.

What We Do

Making an eternal impact through short & long term missions opportunities worldwide for teens, preteens, adults, and children. Work & evangelism teams share the Gospel using music, puppets, drama, and testimonies. Some teams receive special training to share Christ using sports (soccer, volleyball, and basketball) while others specialize in choir, drama, video/film, or TESL (teaching English as a second language). Motorcycle, backpack, boat and choir teams receive special training. Work teams have built churches, orphanages, schools, mission airstrips, wells for clean drinking water and even a hospital. All teams are trained at the Lord’s Boot Camp in Merritt Island. An Obstacle Course is used to instill teamwork and evening rallies under the Big Top tent provide an opportunity for team cheers, worship, and Bible messages from seasoned missionaries from around the world.
