Village Missions transforms rural communities by full-time missionary pastors preaching the Word and loving the people. Village Missionaries serve struggling country churches, developing a healthy Christ-centered church that impacts the entire community. This is accomplished through worship services, visitation, community involvement, Bible studies, after school clubs, VBS and other activities.
Seeing a growing need for pastors in small communities and villages throughout the United States, Reverend Walter Duff founded Village Missions in 1948 in partnership with Stonecroft Ministries. Today, Village Missions is still dedicated to reaching rural communities and small towns with the Gospel of Christ by recruiting and sending missionary pastors to revitalize churches. We operate in the United States and Canada.
Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital churches in rural North America.
Place full-time Village Missionary couples into rural communities to:
1) Shepherd and revitalize the church
2) Be an active part of the community
3) Share Christ through everyday living
4) Help believers mature in their walk with Christ
Village Missions places a Village Missionary pastor and family at a rural or small-town church and assists in paying the salary and health benefits for the Village Missionary. In this way, the pastor is freed up to devote himself to preaching, teaching, and reaching into the community with the Gospel of Christ.
