In 1960, Loren Cunningham began Youth With A Mission out of a dream to see youth fulfill the Great Commission of Mark 16:15. Hundreds of thousands of people have gone into the nations through YWAM. Today, because of God’s power and grace, YWAM is the largest mission organization in the world.
YWAM San Diego Baja was started in October 1991 by Sean and Janet Lambert. Since then, tens of thousands of youth have served the nation of Mexico through YWAM San Diego/Baja through various ministries.
Our vision in the beginning was to mobilize groups that wanted to come to Mexico and beyond to serve the needs of the poor, both practically and spiritually. As this vision grew and expanded, transformational training courses were added.
Today, we provide training at two campuses in ten different schools year-round, along with many seminars and conferences through the University of the Nations.
Our vision is now: Go, Serve, Transform.
YWAM affirms the Bible as the authoritative word of God, and with the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, the absolute reference point for every aspect of life and ministry. Based upon God’s word, who He is, and His initiative of salvation, the following responses are strongly emphasized in YWAM:
Worship, Holiness, Witness, Prayer, Fellowship
Our values are the expression of our basic beliefs since our beginning in 1960.
YWAM San Diego Baja - What We Do
Every year, YWAM San Diego Baja hosts teams from all over the world to participant in Homes of Hope, Mission Adventures and various Training Schools.
With Homes of Hope we invite you to bring your family, church, or co-workers together to build a home for a needy family in Mexico. The YWAM-DTS is our Discipleship Training School where you’ll grow with God and discover your identity in Him. At Mission Adventures we host schools, youth groups, and families to participate in short-term mission trips.
Many groups who come to serve are made up of families, church groups, ministry teams, youth groups, schools, etc and work with the full-time YWAM missionaries to meet physical and spiritual needs of the people of Mexico.
