New Hope Opportunities, Inc.

New Hope Opportunities strive to bring hope by sharing the message of Christ’s love through education, love and training. God has provided a Christian Community Center in the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. We are passionate about helping the specific community of Rivera Hernandez.

Our History

The vision for New Hope Opportunities originated at a 1998 meeting in Tegucigalpa with several key leaders. The purpose of this meeting was to define future needs and projects for Honduras. Over the next few years we taught seminars to aid teachers, pastors and church leaders to improve their skills and abilities.

On a fact-finding trip in 2003, with supporters from several churches from the United States, a plan was put in motion to locate suitable property for a learning center and vocational school. In September 2005 we located property in Colonia San Vicente de Paul. With a donation from a family trust the property was purchased. In January 2006 we took possession of the facility that God had provided. It has been a progression of miracles that brought us to the point we are today.

As we look back on the early days we are amazed at all God has accomplished. We now have over 30,000 square feet under roof, housing a wood shop, welding shop, computer lab, offices, finished classrooms, classrooms under construction, new bathroom facilities, complete kitchen and bakery, four apartments for visiting teams and teachers and most importantly we have students!

Today we are a very active community center, known in the community as “The Hope Building”. This location is host to; Hope Vocation Technical Institute, Hope High School, Hope School, C.H.I.C.O our library and after school mentoring / tutoring program, IHER and “Hope Ministries” our community impact ministry.
