Where
The medical team will fly into Bangalore, a city in central India and travel the short distance to Hope and Help’s training center in Chickballapur. From our base we will travel into villages each day to conduct medical clinics for the rural poor.
Skills
Medical skills (physicians, dentists, ophthalmologists, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, physical therapists); child ministry helpers who can conduct a VBS-type program for the kids who come to the clinics; spiritual needs counselors who can pray for those who come to the clinics.
What We Will Do
Partnering with rural church planters and pastors, we will conduct medical clinics in remote villages outside the Chickballapur area. Each day we will go to a different area. Our purpose is to provide medical care to those who do not have access to good care, refer critical cases to a local hospital for inpatient care, provide vitamins and parasite medications. Our presence also gives the local pastors the chance to meet new people in the villages and establish ongoing relationships that will continue after the medical team has left.
